Assignment

Ed Hoppe has a great combined ability to read into art directors layouts and has good communication skills to understand their concepts; an essential skill in this field. For 10 years, Ed worked with over fifty artists, art directors and editorial personnel when he was the "in-house photographer" for World Book Encyclopedia, Science Year Book, and Childcraft; he covered hundreds of articles and projects for them.

" World Book was a great school for me", Ed says. His assignments during those years, literally ranged from A to Z . From Classic Cars for the Automobile article, Farms, Heart surgery, Dogs, cats, Moon rocks, Paintings for the State and Painting articles - and the list goes on...(See Ed's Bio)

After leaving World Book, Ed opened his Chicago studio where he shot both studio and location photography. He traveled all over the US and Puerto Rico until he relocated in Northern Wisconsin. Ed still travels, but mostly to Puerto Rico for business and of course, for pleasure too!

Comments from ED:
I am primarily an assignment photographer. My many years of experience have convinced me that there is nothing like direct communication with my clients. Understanding their true needs will help me obtain the desired results to better serve them in a professional manner.

My fees are based on an approved layout in order to facilitate an estimate of what the cost of a given job will be.

I still may have a few guidelines pertaining to the assignment; inclement weather is always a consideration, props etc,but all in all, almost anything can be worked out if both parties are flexible and plan ahead...

See my Message link, pertaining to a mix of assignment shots and stock... multiple images to create one AD.

Thanks Ed..
