Studio

Ed, in one of his two shooting bays. The total space of his studio "B" is about 32x40 feet, 11 foot ceilings, plus a full kitchen & bar. Nearby is a computer area, prop, & darkroom. In addition, we have a full bath and another bay for photography, office and receiving room.

There are double doors in the studio that lead to the yard and to the wild woods. Check out our Wisconsin gallery for the hunting & chainsaw photos taken just a few feet from the studio.

Ed's residence is in the upper level of the studio, it has a great kitchen, two fireplaces and a large deck overlooking the woods, that could be used in photography.

The above shot is a view of the studio & house; clients loft above right structure. There is a "cat walk" connecting the studio to the guest loft. The loft (Apt.) is also a weekly rental for tourist who visit our area - however in most cases it is reserved for clients for the duration of their photo shoot.

Above left photo is one of two fireplaces in our house. The other fireplace is in a carpeted room; both have been used as backgrounds for assignments. The fieldstone fire- places are 18' high. The kitchen is located in studio "B".

Left aerial photo: View of our studio and surrounding areas, home & clients quarters. A little different from our loft studio in Chicago, but we love it here.

We are located right in the "woods" and yet, only two miles from town; great for shooting the outdoors, people and product. (About 194 lakes within nine miles of my studio). Also, some great fishing - Boulder Junction is famous for it's Musky fishing.

It's funny, when I first came up to the Northwoods, I was pushing the "outdoor people and product" photography; camouflage clothes, canoes, guns, and so on. But, ironically, our first client in our new studio was a large food company out of Chicago. We shot food for them for over four years until they hired an inside photographer... It was a pleasure shooting for them...We still photograph food and other jobs, but with more of a rustic look. It may be a campfire cookout, or a hunting group as it relates to nature and the lifestyles of this area. If you have any ideas, feel free to contact us; stock or assignment...See our Galleries and Product pages.
