Ed makes a point that even if the client and he sets up a shot like this together, there is always something that can be improved after seeing the image. In Ed’s opinion, with todays “digital” options, most all product shots can be improved by digital alterations; this is something that Ed offers his clients. It is much more cost effective to “alter” or adjust an image in photoshop than “on set” Ed is from the old school and still focuses on getting the product as perfect as possilbe before shooting…. The bottom line is that Ed feels that it is a more expensive to try to do it all on set.
