Coqui Frogs on Orchid

These Coquî frogs are native of Puerto Rico. They derive their name from the sound they emit while singing: “Coqui, Coqui…”During the day, it hides among the shadows of moist plants and emerges at dusk to lull the island in a musical serenade. Orchids are mostly cultivated in towns of the central part of the island such as Barranquitas, Aibonito …but today, you will find orchids in other towns of Puerto Rico.
